From a jet-setting nomad to a serious dater and potato grower in San Francisco—wtf
My life is changing and I'm kind of here for it.
Recent Things I’ve Learned
You can literally grow sprouted potatoes in the backyard by throwing them into the garden. I just covered them with some soil, watered it, and left it alone. I did this at my sister’s house and we had fresh potatoes in 3-4 months; we were just so mind blown, screaming and jumping around as we unearthed new baby potatoes in the soil. My nephew then chucks the produce down his slide 😂 It’s funny how life is—these are the hilarious moments I’ll remember forever.

How to spend money on your friends without it looking like bribery by Bill Mei - an interesting take on how “wealth allows you to do is to buy things outright instead of renting them” and giving access to your friends, like a home, is more authentic than paying for something on their behalf
All Above Love by Bell Hooks - a book that explores “what is love?” She believes the word ‘love’ is most often defined as a noun, yet we would all love better if we used it as a verb. This non-academic, though the intellectually written book, will allow you to consider your own thoughts and views on what love is while giving you cultural awareness on what society allows us to accept and what we are taught to believe love is.
My favorite things right now
music festivals! I’m still vibing from Coachella, so here’s a great song from Gorillaz. I’m headed to Outside Lands in San Francisco this summer ❤️
Nissan’s Lofi Ad - taken as a play on the “Lofi girl,” Nissan made an ad that is incredibly useful and not annoying—it’s just lofi music displaying a woman driving a Nissan through a sprawling city. It has 17M listens and I’m listening to it as I write my newsletter.
managing my emotions with squats - hear me out. If someone disrespects you, like sending a terrible text, simply don’t respond. Instead, do 20 squats to dissipate your anger. Because if that person won’t respect you, then you’ll respect yourself—starting with a nice ass. 🍑

On Dating & Entrepreneurship
It is important to set the right expectations from your partner in the beginning during dating as this will set the standard of your relationship moving forward. Though sometimes uncomfortable and awkward, I realize how important it is to bring it up earlier than let it stew and build up resentment over the years.
